The Kret Archive

Inventory of the A.J. Kret Archive (in Dutch)

Rev. A.J. Kret (1928-1993) was a Reformed minister in Krimpen aan de Lek and later mayor of Sassenheim. He was chairman of the committee that organised the Jan Zwart commemoration in 1957. This was the cradle of the Organ Centre Foundation ("Stichting Orgelcentrum") of which Kret was for many years chairman. He was also secretary of the organ advice section of the foundation. The Kret Archive consists of part of the foundation's documentation and contains cuttings and correspondence (with Feike Asma among others). After his death, his widow gave her husband's organ archive under trust to the organ builder Steendam in Roodeschool, after which the collection was added to the Utrecht Organ Archive.
